At Electric Boat, making a difference extends beyond the work we do every day. We take pride in supporting the communities where we live and work through partnerships with local schools, universities, nonprofits, charitable organizations, and diverse small businesses across Connecticut and Rhode Island.
That commitment is reflected in our people. Through volunteering, charitable giving, and community engagement, employees across every discipline help strengthen the neighborhoods they call home and create lasting impact for future generations.
A Tradition Of Giving Back.
For more than 75 years, Electric Boat employees have supported local communities through the Electric Boat Employees’ Community Services Association (EBECSA) in Connecticut and Quonset Point Employees’ Community Services Association (QPECSA) in Rhode Island. These groups are employee-led charitable organizations dedicated to improving the communities where we live and work.
Through voluntary contributions and volunteer service, employees, friends, and family members come together to support organizations that make a meaningful difference throughout Connecticut and Rhode Island.
Building Community From Within.
Community starts with our people. In addition to giving back through volunteerism and charitable initiatives, Electric Boat fosters connection and belonging through Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) and Employee Community Groups (ECG). Organized and led by employees, these groups bring together individuals with shared identities, experiences, and interests while creating opportunities for mentorship, professional development, networking, leadership, and community involvement.

Investing In Our Communities.
At Electric Boat, investing in our communities is an extension of our mission. Our philanthropic efforts focus on expanding education and workforce development opportunities in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) and the skilled trades, while strengthening community vitality, supporting health and environmental initiatives, and advancing innovative solutions that improve the communities where we live and work.
Each year, our employees and community partnerships make a measurable impact across Connecticut and Rhode Island, including:
- Partnering with more than 200 organizations
- Completing 100+ community engagement events
- Donating 2,000+ items
- Contributing 4,000+ volunteer hours
- Awarding $30,000+ in scholarships
- Providing more than $1 million in annual charitable giving
