Fourth Annual High School Signing Days Celebrate EB-Bound Shipbuilders

Electric Boat (EB) recently held our fourth annual High School Signing Day events in Connecticut and Rhode Island, celebrating over 400 students who have chosen to pursue a career in shipbuilding at EB following graduation. An exciting day for these soon-to-be shipbuilders, their families and EB, Signing Day serves as a warm welcome to the students who are beginning the journey towards a fulfilling and meaningful career.

Rhode Island High School Signing Day was held on May 22, 2025, at Providence Career and Technical Academy (PCTA) in Providence, RI, where we celebrated more than 225 high school students from over 50 schools across Rhode Island, Massachusetts, Connecticut and beyond. These high school seniors will be joining the EB workforce at our Quonset Point facility in Rhode Island after graduation. The RI Signing Day Award, given to the school with the highest percentage of students accepting offers to join EB, was awarded to PCTA, with 13% of their senior class Quonset Point bound.

Connecticut High School Signing Day was held on May 28, 2025, at Ella T. Grasso Technical High School in Groton, CT, to recognize 175 high school students from over 35 schools. These students, some traveling from as far as New York and Maryland, will be joining the EB workforce at our Groton, CT, facility after graduation. Ella T. Grasso Southeastern Technical High School won the annual CT Signing Day Award, with almost 20% of their senior class excited to start their careers with EB in Groton.

Congratulations to the students joining our team of the world’s best shipbuilders. EB is excited and proud to welcome you aboard.
